little表示一定意义的使用方法
little 与 a little 使用方法特征是，两者都只用于修饰或代替不可数名词，其中little形式上一定，意义上是相反的，其意为“极少”“几乎没”；a little 表示一定意义，其意为“几个”“一些”。如：
I have little money and few interests. 我没什么钱，也没什么喜好。
I have a little money in the bank to fall back on. 我在银行还有一点钱，需要时可以动用。
但，当little前用了特指限定词，则不表否定意义。如：
The little I have is not worth giving. 我那一点点拿不出手。
I hope the little that I’ve done has been useful. 我期望我所做的一点事情是有用的。
The little time I had outside of school was taken up with work. 课外的一点点时间我都用来工作了。
She paid them a generous wage for the little they did. 她为他们的那样一点工作付了非常高的薪资。
注意，not a little的意思不是“极少”，而是“不少”或“相当多”，它与quite a little, a good little大致同义。如：
It was not a little puzzling. 这非常让人迷惑。
Not a little consternation was caused. 导致了不小的恐慌。
He drank not a littleof the wine.他并没少喝（=喝了不少酒）。
